The Gates Of Hell

Psalms 18:17, He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were to strong for me.

All Is Lost

Chapter 3, Pages 152, 153

[1] We left the room and made it into an empty hallway. Jared quickly led me around a corner, which in turn led us straight to the elevator. His nervous demeanor was of no big surprise, and why should it be? You’d have to be a real nut job to want to stay in this place one minute more than one had too.

……My thoughts at this time were only of my love, and with aching heart, it was beyond my comprehension how I should go on living without him.

The doors opened when Jared finished his thought, and who would have thought the ride down would become a tumultuous event, because soon on I began to feel lightheaded. With my legs beginning to give way out from under me, Jared must have felt me make a downward descent at his side, because I then felt his arm taking a quick hold to the back of my waist. In this manner he literally held me up on my feet. He then spoke up for my ears only, because unfortunately for us, we were not the only ones making this ride. “What did they do to you in this place?”

The Gates Of Hell

Jonah 2:6, I went down to the bottoms of the mountians; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

[2] “Hang in there, Lily. We’ve just got a little way to go and we’re home free.”

My senses then began to revive once we stepped out of the building and into the chilly night air. And following Jared’s lead, he went straightaway to his car, and I thought upon arrival it was typical Jared– a silver convertible sports car built for two. No doubt I assumed correctly it was loaded to the hilt. Jared had the top up due to the inclement weather, which seemed reasonable enough.

He then graciously but urgently helped me into the car, which after he’d quickly rush around the back of the car and quickly got inside himself. He then started up the engine and, in a rush, he pealed out of the parking space, but to both our extreme distress, we still had to wait our turn at the security gate up ahead. It was at this opportune moment I turned to look back up at the building, and grief-stricken to the point of anguish with the thought of my love still locked away inside that nightmarish hell. I whispered my innermost thoughts  intended for the Lord’s ears only.

[3] “Dear God, do the impossible and somehow make my feelings known to my love. I shall always love you, Caleb, and from this time on, every beat of my heart will be a testament of my love only for you. I ask and pray in Jesus’s name. Love Lily.”

Holy Scriptures

Revelation 1:18, I am he that liveth. and was dead. and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen'; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Author’s Commentary

Unfortunately even after Lily had just had experienced hell on earth. Freedom comes at a high price, knowing she herself shall always remain captive with her True Love left behind encompassed within the mighty walls of the enemy’s ‘Evil Lair.’

It seems inconceivable to Lily to think of herself going on without Caleb, even Jared’s compassionate cordiality, whom is ever so attentive to Lily’s fragile emotions. He only warrants the minimal amount of attention from Lily.

Consumed by Grief Lily’s emotions are still imprisoned in the hellish landscape she had just departed bonded to the most amiable of SOULS. Her Beloved Caleb, and although she had made a promise to Caleb in his dire need.

Lily, now seemingly free to the natural eye, but within harbors a broken heart of which only God can mend. She longs with a hopeful heart somehow the Lord will find a way to bring her beloved Caleb back to her, but until this time. She can only hope in the Lord to make it so. For Lily is not willing to concede in the slightest to the horrid thought, to live the impossible. A lifetime without her One True and Only Love, Caleb.

Matthew 25: 39, 40, Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and come unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
