The Beautiful Heart of a Christian

The Heart of the Matter

The Bible speaks of the contrast of the purity of heart, and a wicked soul as it is written in Titus 1: 5, Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Whatsoever is Lovely

The Bible also explains to think on things which avail the heart. A for-instance, awaking to the birds heartfelt devotion rejoicing in song at the dawning of the new day. The agreeable fragrance of the early morning dew, and the bouquet of eventide. A heartwarming smile to welcome one home always does the heart good. The beating heart of a darling furry feline or a lovable canine come to cozy up with you in a quiet moment.

And when all thoughts lead to the contentment of a warm cup of tea, and a delightful Bible reading with the ‘Good Book.’ The joyful wonder of a cordial conversation over a sweet pastry. So many simple pleasures freely given and, to contemplate as it is written in Philippians 4:8, 9, Finally, brethren, what so ever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

What it means to be a Christian has not changed over the course of time as it is written in Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Letting the ‘Word,’ the Bible speaks of the believer living by faith as it is written in Hebrews 11,3, Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. This is especially true when it comes to the Christian showing courage in the face of adversity the Christian showing courage in the face of adversity.

Living a Christian Life

The term “Christians” was first coined in Antioch to describe those who followed Jesus Christ and His teaching as it is written Acts 11:25, 26, Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he found him he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they  assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Christians have confidence in the Holy Scriptures declaring the redemptive power through Jesus Christ as it is written in 1st John 4:14, And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

The Believer in Christ

Being Christ like means bringing the good tidings of the gospel of Christ to all peoples as it is written in Romans 10:15, And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of the good news.

Kindness and mercy throughout the day is given unto us and unto others as it is written in Luke 17: 4, And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent: thou shalt forgive him.

The Christian takes care to be not only a hearer of the word, but a doer also as it is written in James 1:22, But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, and deceiving your own selves.

The Heart of a Christian

Within the Christian heart resides the living God as it is written in 2nd Corinthians 3:3, Forsomuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshly tables of the Heart.

Fundamentally, what it means to be a Christian is to live by faith and the Holy Scriptures as it is written in Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Bible is a guide for the Christian, and thereby, the Christian lives accordingly in the honorable service unto the Lord as it is written in Ephesians 6:7, With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.

Loving  These Little Ones

Jesus loves the little children and so it is with the heart of the Christian as it is written in, Mark 9: 42, And who shall offend one of these little ones that believes in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hung about his neck, and were cast into the sea.

Children the beloved of God as it is written in Matthew 18: 10, Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones, for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Be a Doer of the Word

Christians should definitely extend acts of service and do so unto the Lord as it is written in Colossians 3: 23, And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.

God Meant it Unto Good

The Christian faces daily challenges, in these trying times do recall as it is written in Genesis 50:20, But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is written this day, to save much people alive.
